Popular Tamil cinema comedian Robo Shankar was admitted to a private hospital in Chennai today after fainting while working on a film set. This incident has caused concern among his fans and the film industry alike.
Robo Shankar gained recognition through shows on Vijay TV, such as Kalakka Povathu Yaaru?. He later made his in a comedic role in Dhanush’s Maari, which opened the door to numerous acting opportunities and made him a household name.
In recent years, his health had been slightly affected. He had taken a break from filming for several months due to jaundice. Today, while working on set, he suddenly fainted.
It appears that low blood pressure and dehydration were the main reasons for his fainting. The crew immediately admitted him to the hospital. He is currently under the care of doctors in the ICU.
