Like Two Trains on the Same Track: LIK Postponed to December Release

Pradeep Ranganathan’s fans were all set for a double dose of entertainment, but now they’ll have to wait a bit longer for Love Insurance Kompany. The makers have postponed the film’s release to December 18, 2025, to avoid clashing with the actor’s other film, Dude.

Interestingly, both films were originally planned to release on the same date, setting up what could have been an unusual box-office face-off between two Pradeep starrers. To avoid that, the Love Insurance Kompany team decided to step back and give each film its own space to shine.

Announcing the change on X (formerly Twitter), the film’s distributor Seven Screen Studio said,

“Like two trains on the same track, a head-on collision helps no one. With genuine concern for our beloved hero Pradeep Ranganathan and respect for the efforts behind both films, we’ve thoughtfully decided to reschedule the release of Love Insurance Kompany to December 18, 2025.”

The studio also extended their best wishes to Dude for its upcoming release, noting that it’s better to let both films enjoy their moment with audiences.

Directed by Vignesh Shivan, Love Insurance Kompany stars Pradeep Ranganathan, Krithi Shetty, and SJ Suryah. Meanwhile, Dude, written and directed by Keerthiswaran and produced by Mythri Movie Makers, features Mamitha Baiju, R. Sarathkumar, Hridhu Haroon, and Rohini alongside Pradeep.

With Dude arriving first and Love Insurance Kompany following later, fans can look forward to two very different shades of Pradeep Ranganathan – just a few months apart.
