Superstar Rajinikanth’s film Jailer, released in recent years, received an overwhelming response from fans. Directed by Nelson Dilipkumar, this action-drama not only grossed over ₹600 crore worldwide but was also regarded as a rebirth in Rajinikanth’s cinematic journey.
Now, the successful film is getting a sequel titled Jailer 2. Recently, while leaving from Chennai to Kerala, Rajinikanth spoke to the media at the airport, saying, “Shooting is ongoing. The Kerala schedule will continue for six days. The film will release only after June 2026.”
This shows that the film crew is fully focused on shooting without rushing anything. Produced by Kalanithi Maran of Sun Pictures, the film will feature star actors like Sivarajkumar and Mohanlal in prominent roles, just like the first Jailer. Music is composed by Anirudh Ravichander.
