Sri Lankan PM Harini Amarasuriya to Make First Official Visit to India

Sri Lankan Prime Minister Harini Amarasuriya will make her first official visit to India from October 16 to 18, the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) announced.

During her visit, she will meet Indian political leaders to discuss bilateral issues of mutual interest. She is also scheduled to deliver the keynote address at the NDTV World Summit, jointly organised by NDTV and the Chintan Research Foundation in Delhi.

As Sri Lanka’s Education Minister, PM Amarasuriya will visit the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi and NITI Aayog to explore collaboration in education and technology. She will also revisit her alma mater, Hindu College, Delhi University, and participate in a business forum aimed at strengthening commercial ties between the two countries.

This visit highlights the ongoing high-level exchanges between India and Sri Lanka, reinforcing their deep and multi-faceted bilateral relationship.
